My Plateau did not break easily I maintained the same bodyfat and weight for almost a year yet somehow was still getting leaner thank goodness something was happening still, but this was a huge drag on my motivation.
I struggled even asking my trainers advice many times and still could not break free of the plateau.
I re-introduced my body to fasting then studied Paleo/Keto diets to find something that worked for me
Keto allowed me to break through my plateau and lose a further 10 kilograms along with even more visible results I hope to continue with this for some time till it needs adjusting again.
I tried various muscle training diets and adding calories reducing calories nothing worked I just ended up more frustrated, I did get the results I was after though as I was not seeing the bodyfat levels drop also some of the diets were costing a fortune keeping the food up to the daily feasting.
Though I agree you need to eat a lot to grow muscle my goal was to lose the weight see what muscle I already have and grow from there.
Many of my motivational mates had actually lost the weight faster than I did and I was really feeling the negativity of my own mindset letting me slide as they barely did any changes to their diet and simply did massive amounts of classes and cardio to achieve the results they desired.
I wanted to do my transformation while strength training because I wanted to have a fair amount of visible muscle at the end of it all the diet I am currently on allows me to know when I have had plenty of carbs and feel the energy levels change when I run them out.
I used to have so many carbs in my system it would take days upon days to even notice a difference in fact I was running on the treadmill for up to 2 hours doing intervals with still enough energy to spare when I was doing the keto transition next day
I lost not only 10 kilograms, in the 2 months doing keto I got a better understanding of my carbohydrate intake and energy needs throughout the day.
Dropping a further 7% bodyfat as well.
